Gardens that hold their quiet through every season.
Val's Landscape designs, builds, and tends outdoor spaces across Menlo Park, Atherton, and Palo Alto — clay soil, native plantings, and the long California dry season all accounted for.
A small crew with fifteen seasons of Bay Area dirt under our boots.
Val's Landscape began in 2009 with a single truck, a walk-behind mower, and a handful of neighbors in the Willows who trusted Valentina Reyes to keep their lawns honest. Fifteen years later the truck has been replaced, but the principle hasn't moved: every property gets the same patient attention, whether it's a quarter-acre off Santa Cruz Avenue or a full estate lot in Allied Arts.
We work with the Peninsula's clay-heavy soil and Mediterranean climate, not against them. That means drought-tolerant natives where they make sense, smart irrigation throughout, and a maintenance schedule built around when plants actually need us — not a generic weekly visit that leaves hedges scalped in August.
The crew is small on purpose. You'll meet the same faces in spring that you see in October, and the person who designs your beds is the one who'll be pruning them.
What we do, and what it actually costs.
Indicative pricing for the Menlo Park area. Final quotes account for lot size, slope, existing plantings, and scope — we'll always tell you the number before any work begins.
Not sure which of these fits? Tell us about your lot and we'll write back within 72 hours with a real number — not a sales call.

Site Visit
We walk the property together, note sun exposure, drainage, soil, and what's already working. Thirty minutes, no charge.
Written Quote
Within 72 hours you get an itemized quote with a plant list or service schedule. No vague estimates, no surprise add-ons later.
Build & Plant
Our crew — not subcontractors — executes the work on the scheduled dates. Hardscaping first, then soil prep, then plantings.
Follow-through
Thirty-day check-in on new plantings, and an optional maintenance schedule so the garden keeps looking like the day we finished.
Tell us about your lot.
We take on a limited number of new properties each season. Send a few details and Val will write back personally — usually within 72 hours, always with a real number.
