Each of our three cottages began life housing Bridge Farm's herds of dairy livestock. They've since undergone a significant renovation — making them far more accommodating to human beings, while carefully preserving their unique character and countryside feel.
We didn't want to call them "The Old Cow Sheds." We just couldn't think of anyone famous who was born in one. And anyway — who would want to stay in it?
Every cottage is wheelchair accessible and comes with its own wet-room, so guests with mobility difficulties are welcomed with the same comfort as everyone else.
We've kept the beams, the brickwork and the quiet. Everything else has been thoughtfully reimagined for the people who now pass through these doors.

The Old Stables sits at Bridge Farm in the village of Britford — a quiet pocket of Wiltshire just two miles south of Salisbury city centre. You can walk into town along the river path in around 35 minutes, or drive in under ten.
From your door: Salisbury Cathedral, the Magna Carta, the weekly Charter Market, an award-winning playhouse, and some of England's oldest pubs. From your window: nothing but fields, hedgerows and the occasional horse.
