Some places ask to be noticed. The Lodge doesn't. It sits low against the riverbank, half-hidden by old willows and garden roses, and lets the water do most of the talking. You'll hear it from your window, your bathtub, the kitchen table where breakfast is set out each morning.
This is a homestay in the truest sense — a family home first, and a place to sleep second. Your hosts live on the property, know which bend of the river holds the kingfishers, and will leave you entirely alone until you ring. No concierge desk. No lobby. No rush.
Three rooms, one sitting room with a working fire, and roughly forty metres of private riverbank. That's the whole offer.
