At UTMB Health's South Shore Harbour clinic, primary care is not a transaction — it is a relationship built one visit, one season, one decade at a time. Dr. Stephen Granger, DO, practices family medicine for patients across the full span of life, from the first well-child checkup to the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit and every cough, scan, and conversation in between.
The clinic on South Shore Boulevard was placed here for a reason. League City families should not have to drive to Galveston or into Houston for thoughtful, continuous primary care. The team sees newborns and great-grandparents under one roof, which means a household's health history lives in a single chart, read by a single team that knows your name.
That continuity changes the medicine. A cold is not just a cold when your doctor also knows your asthma history. A fatigue visit is not just fatigue when your doctor also managed your pregnancy three years earlier. This is what family medicine was meant to be — care that holds together.
Dr. Granger trained in osteopathic medicine, which means his training carries an extra emphasis on the musculoskeletal system and on treating the whole person rather than an isolated symptom. For patients, that often shows up as a slower, more curious first visit and a willingness to look beyond the obvious complaint.
Indicative pricing for self-pay patients. Most commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid are accepted — your final cost depends on your plan. We will always verify before your visit.

Annual women's health exams, contraception counseling, pre- and postnatal care, and menopausal care — all under one family-medicine roof.
Common blood work, strep tests, flu swabs, and urinalysis drawn on-site during your visit. No second trip to an outside lab for routine orders.
Routine childhood immunizations, seasonal flu shots, tetanus boosters, and adult travel vaccines, administered and documented in your record.
One chart, one team, one relationship. When your doctor has seen you through three winters, the fourth winter's cough is easier to read. We protect that continuity by keeping our panel manageable.
Every weekday we hold open appointments for things that cannot wait a week. Call ahead and we will fit you in — most urgent concerns are seen the same day or the next morning.
Dr. Granger's DO training means he looks beyond the immediate symptom to how the body's systems connect. The complaint that brings you in is rarely the whole story.
