Smiles of Chevy Chase began with a quiet conviction: that dentistry, done well, is a craft — not a transaction. Dr. Despina M. Markogiannakis trained in restorative and cosmetic dentistry across the Eastern Seaboard, then built a studio in Chevy Chase around a single, stubborn idea: the chair should never feel rushed.
Fifteen years later, that idea still organises the day. Appointments run long. Explanations run longer. Every restoration is hand-finished, every treatment plan is written in plain English, and every patient leaves with a smile they understand — not just one they like.
