Dr. Ramon L. Sanchez serves as Director of the Galveston clinic and sees patients at the Texas City office on 34th Street. He earned his M.D. at the Facultad de Medicina, Zaragoza in 1971 and his Ph.D. at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona in 1982, both in Spain.
He is American Board certified in Anatomic Pathology (1976), Dermatopathology (1983), and Dermatology (1988) — a triple certification held by only a handful of practicing physicians in the Gulf Coast region.
Presently Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Pathology at UTMB Galveston, he directed a one-year Dermatopathology Fellowship in the Department of Dermatology from 1991 until 2019, training a generation of physicians who now practice across the United States.
Alongside Dr. David W. Raimer, M.D., the practice continues to see patients for general dermatology, complex dermatopathology consultations, and second-opinion slide reviews referred from across Texas and New Mexico.
