Pipes that hold their ground.
Oberholtzer Plumbing has kept Texas City homes running since 1978 — three generations of licensed plumbers and HVAC techs who answer the phone, show up on time, and quote the price before they pick up a wrench.
A family name on the truck, not a franchise logo.
Founded by Carl Oberholtzer in 1978. Now run by his grandson, Marcus, and a crew of nine.
Forty-five years of fixing what the Gulf Coast throws at a house.
Carl Oberholtzer opened the shop out of a single-bay garage on Sixth Street in 1978, back when Texas City was still rebuilding after the hurricane season that wiped out half the peninsula. He kept one rule: quote the price first, do the work right, clean up after yourself. Three generations later, that is still the only way we know how to operate.
Today the crew handles everything from a dripping kitchen faucet to a full high-efficiency furnace swap — residential and light commercial, new construction and the hundred-year-old pier-and-beam houses that line the bayou. Every technician is licensed, drug-tested, and paid by the hour, not by the sale. You will never be up-sold a system you do not need.
Flat-rate pricing. No surprises after the wrench comes out.
Indicative pricing for common jobs across Texas City and the Bay Area. Final quote is confirmed on-site before any work begins.
The difference is in the details you never have to think about.
What you get when you hire a 45-year-old family shop instead of a national chain.
Licensed & Insured
TACLB-28492 plumbing license and TDLR AC-018772 for HVAC. Full general liability and worker's comp. Paperwork on every job, no exceptions.
On-Time Window
We give you a two-hour arrival window, not an all-day wait. If we are late without calling first, your trip fee is waived. Simple as that.
Upfront Flat Pricing
Every quote is a flat rate, not an open-ended hourly clock. You approve the price in writing before we touch a tool. No surprise line items.
Every install is photographed and documented for your file — before, during, and after.

Get it fixed before it gets worse.
A dripping faucet today is a flooded floor next month. A noisy furnace in October is a no-heat call in January. The cheapest repair is the one you make early — and the crew at Oberholtzer will tell you honestly whether it needs fixing now or can wait.
