A practice built on patience, not volume.
Dr. Alfredo J. Nodarse founded the clinic in 2009 with a single principle: a 30-minute visit should not feel like five minutes. We keep our daily schedule intentionally small so each patient leaves with questions answered — not deferred.
Internal medicine is a discipline of pattern recognition. The same fatigue that reads as “overwork” in a 32-year-old can signal something quite different in a patient of 64. Our job is to tell the difference — calmly, methodically, and with the full picture in front of us.
That is why every new-patient visit runs 45 to 60 minutes. We review your history, your medications, your family context, and the labs you arrive with. Only then do we decide what — if anything — needs to be ordered next.
For established patients, we maintain a continuous chart that follows you across years, not visits. A blood pressure reading from 2021 still matters in 2025. So does the conversation we had about it.

Same-day urgent visits are reserved each morning for established patients. Call the office at opening — 8:30 AM — and we will work you into the same day’s schedule whenever clinically appropriate.

Most blood work and electrocardiograms are done in the clinic during your visit. You leave with results in hand or delivered to your patient portal within 24 hours.
Continuity across years
Your chart is a longitudinal record, not a series of disconnected visits. A 2022 lab value informs a 2025 decision. We keep the thread so you don’t have to.
Direct communication
Questions between visits go through the office line — not a third-party portal staffed by strangers. If the matter is clinical, the doctor returns the call personally.

Our Texas City office is intentionally small — four exam rooms, one consultation office, and a waiting area that rarely holds more than three people at a time. Calm is a clinical decision.
