About the practice
Dr. Pineiro opened the doors on South Dixie Highway in 2014 with one rule: no more than eight patients a day. It is the only way he has found to practice medicine the way it was taught to him — slowly, with attention, and with the chart closed long enough to look someone in the eye.
The clinic is internal medicine for adults eighteen and over. That means annual physicals, but also the unglamorous work: thyroid panels, blood pressure that creeps up over a decade, the knee that started aching in March. The things that do not show up on a billboard but show up in a life.
Labs are drawn on-site. Most results are back within twenty-four hours. Nothing here is rushed, and nothing here is routed through a call center three states away.
Philosophy of care
A forty-minute visit is not a luxury. It is how a doctor hears the thing a patient almost did not say — the one that changes the diagnosis.
We keep notes in plain English. Your occupation, your mother's history, the medication you stopped in 2022 — all of it lives in the same paragraph as your labs.
A lipid panel at forty is less expensive than a cardiology consult at sixty. We treat the annual exam as the most important visit of the year.

Transparent pricing for patients paying out of pocket or with high-deductible plans. We accept most major PPO insurance and offer self-pay rates listed below. No surprise bills — you will know the cost before the visit begins.
A 60-minute first visit — full history, review of prior records, baseline exam, and a written care plan. Includes a follow-up message within one week to review any labs ordered.
40-minute preventive physical, blood pressure, cardiovascular screening, age-appropriate cancer screening review, and immunization updates. Most commercial insurance covers this in full.
Ongoing management of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, and hyperlipidemia. Includes monthly check-ins, between-visit messages, and medication adjustments.
CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel, HbA1c, TSH, and vitamin D — drawn on-site with results in 24 hours. EKG and spirometry also available.
Acute concerns — respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, rashes, minor injuries. 25-minute appointment, usually available within 48 hours of your call.
A 20-minute video visit for established patients — medication refills, lab reviews, or a quick check on a chronic condition. Scheduled within the week.

Same-week appointments are usually available. We hold a small number of same-day slots each morning for acute concerns — call the clinic at opening to claim one.
