Kidney care,
measured to the
milligram.
For two decades, Nephrology Associates has cared for kidneys across Galveston County — from early-stage CKD to transplant follow-up. Quiet, precise, unhurried medicine.
A clinic built around one organ, and the people who live with it.
Kidney disease rarely announces itself. By the time symptoms arrive, filtration has already declined. We exist to find it early, slow it down, and keep patients off dialysis longer.
Nephrology Associates is a physician-led practice serving Texas City, La Marque, Dickinson, and the broader Gulf Coast region. Our physicians are board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine, with hospital privileges at Mainland Medical Center and UTMB Health.
We manage the full arc of kidney care — from annual screening for diabetes and hypertension patients, through stage 3–5 CKD co-management, to in-center and home dialysis oversight, and post-transplant follow-up with our Houston transplant partners.
What sets us apart is pacing. A new-patient visit runs 60 to 90 minutes. We review labs, imaging, and medications together. We explain what each number means. No one leaves the room confused about their GFR.
What we treat, and what it actually costs.
Transparent cash-pay pricing for uninsured patients. Most commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage plans accepted. Co-pays vary by plan.
Comprehensive CKD Management
A structured program for patients with stage 2 through stage 5 chronic kidney disease. Quarterly labs, medication review, dietitian referral, and a written kidney-health plan updated each visit. Designed to delay dialysis by years, not months.
Hypertension Control
Resistant and secondary hypertension workup, including aldosterone-renin ratio and renal artery evaluation.
Dialysis Co-Management
Oversight of in-center hemodialysis and home PD patients, partnered with Galveston County dialysis units.
Transplant Evaluation
Pre-transplant workup and referral to Houston Methodist or Baylor St. Luke’s transplant programs.
Electrolyte Disorders
Workup of chronic hyponatremia, hyperkalemia, and calcium-phosphate imbalance.
Diabetic Kidney Screening
Annual microalbuminuria and eGFR tracking for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes patients.
Stone Disease & Recurrent Stones
Metabolic workup for patients with two or more kidney stones, including 24-hour urine interpretation.
