Three generations of technique, fired daily over high heat.
Starters, mains, desserts and drinks — built for the express lane.
Noodles stretched by hand, sauces built from scratch every morning.
A family-run Chinese kitchen in Texas City, firing hand-pulled noodles, sizzling specialties, and made-to-order classics over high heat — fast enough for the lunch rush, careful enough for the weekend table.
Ma Ma Fu China Express began in 2009 with a single wok, a borrowed recipe book, and a simple idea — that fast Chinese food in Texas City didn't have to mean compromise. The Fu family rolled up their sleeves, lit the burners, and started pulling noodles by hand before sunrise.
Fifteen years later, the wok is still hot. Every dish is built to order, every sauce is reduced from scratch, and the noodle dough is still stretched and pulled by hand each morning. The express in our name refers to the speed of service — never the speed of the cooking.
Our specialties are the dishes that put Ma Ma Fu on the map in Texas City — noodles stretched and slammed against the counter each morning, sauces reduced slowly through the afternoon, and a wok hot enough to sear flavor into every bite.
Dough stretched and folded by hand, never cut by machine. Wide biang biang ribbons or thin la mian — your choice.
The breath of the wok. High-BTU burners sear each dish in seconds, locking in flavor with a faint smoky char.
Every glaze, broth, and dipping sauce is built in-house — no pre-mixed bottles, no shortcuts, no exceptions.
Walk in for the express lunch, reserve a table for the weekend dinner rush, or order ahead for takeout. We're tucked into Texas City, easy to find, easier to love.
