Lago Mar Medical Clinic sits on Palmer Highway, a short drive from the bay, where Texas City gives way to the coastal plain. The practice was founded by Abiola Opabunmi, NP, AGNP-PC, a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner with special training in men's health and a belief that primary care should never feel transactional.
Patients twelve and older are welcome here. The clinic offers annual physical exams, chronic disease management, and preventive care that catches small problems before they grow into large ones — diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, and the everyday complaints that erode a good year.
Beyond primary care, Lago Mar has built out a thoughtful wellness practice: medical weight loss guided by physical exams and in-depth blood panels, IV therapy formulas like Myers' cocktail, boosters such as vitamin B12 and lipotropic injections, platelet-rich plasma, and shockwave therapy. Every plan is built from the patient's actual numbers, not a template.
