A clinic built around one doctor, not a queue.
Kristen Kendrick, DO, opened her solo internal medicine practice in West Palm Beach in 2014, after a decade in hospital medicine at large regional systems. The motivation was simple: longer visits, smaller panels, and a doctor who picks up the phone.
Today the practice caps at roughly 1,400 active patients — about a third the size of a typical primary-care panel. That cap is what makes 45-minute follow-ups possible, and what lets the team hold same-week openings for acute visits instead of pushing sick patients to urgent care.
Care is grounded in osteopathic training, which means Dr. Kendrick looks at the whole picture — sleep, movement, medications, stress — rather than isolating a single complaint. It is adult primary care, delivered the way it was meant to be.
