Medicine,
practiced slowly.
Dr. Kort Knudson — Internist caring for adults across Palm Beach County since 2009.
A solo internal medicine practice built around sixty-minute visits, direct physician access, and the kind of diagnostic patience that complicated cases actually require. No concierge theatrics. No twelve-minute slot machine. Just careful adult medicine.
A small practice, on purpose.
Dr. Kort Knudson is a board-certified internist who deliberately keeps his patient panel small enough to remember why each person walked through the door. After a decade inside large hospital networks — where the average primary-care visit lasted eleven minutes and the charting lasted longer than the conversation — he built something different on Flagler Drive.
The practice sees adults eighteen and older for the full arc of internal medicine: preventive care, complex diagnostic workups, chronic disease management, and the unhurried second opinion that a fifteen-minute system rarely permits. Most visits run a full hour. Most calls are returned the same day. Most results are read by the physician, not routed through a portal bot.
The chart is not the patient.
Modern primary care has been engineered for throughput — more patients per hour, more checkboxes per chart, more algorithms substituting for judgment. Internal medicine was never meant to run that way. These are the four principles every decision in this practice returns to.
Time as a diagnostic tool
Sixty minutes is not a luxury. It is how a careful internist hears the symptom the patient almost did not mention.
One physician, end to end
Your visit, your labs, your follow-up — all read and returned by Dr. Knudson personally. No physician extenders.
Evidence before convention
Care plans follow current internal-medicine guidelines — not habit, not payer pressure, not the way the last office did it.
The patient in front of me is the only one I am seeing right now.
