Chiropractor and Clinic Director — continuing a family tradition of care in the Totton community.
Melanie loves helping people, and found she could do that best as a chiropractor. Her aim is simple: to help her patients feel better, stay well, improve their quality of life, and get back to doing what they enjoy most.
She is the daughter of Derek Kemp, who practised and taught chiropractic in the Totton area for many years. Being surrounded by her father's work from a young age, Melanie developed a deep, instinctive understanding of the body — and a genuine calling to continue his legacy of compassionate, skilled care.
Every member of the team at Kemp Chiropractic is trained in the light, dextrous McTimoney method — a technique renowned for its precision and gentleness. You're in qualified, caring hands from the moment you walk through the door.
Most patients describe McTimoney as the gentlest form of chiropractic they've experienced. No aggressive cracking. No forcing. Just precise, swift adjustments that help your body realign itself.
The McTimoney approach recognises that your skeleton, muscles and nervous system are deeply connected. We assess your entire frame to find the root cause — not just chase the pain.
Using only their hands, our chiropractors deliver swift, light adjustments. The dexterity of the technique is what makes it so effective — and so comfortable, even for nervous first-time patients.
Our aim isn't only to ease your pain and discomfort — it's to restore your normal function and activity, and keep you well through preventative, supportive care for the long term.
I have been visiting Mel for 7 years and would highly recommend her. I initially visited Mel to help solve repeated neck pain. Her treatment quickly solved the issue and I now visit once every 2-3 months for check-ups. Mel is always kind and caring — the new treatment rooms are amazing.
