Katie Munro is a fine artist creating drawings and paintings across a variety of media — oil and watercolour paint, charcoal, graphite and pastels. She works from her studio on Lavender Road, Hordle, just outside Lymington.
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Applied Art from the University of the West of England, Katie spent over five years working as an industry painter — a discipline that shaped her handling of scale, surface and patience before she returned to independent practice.
Today her figurative drawings and paintings are shown at Chalks Gallery in Lymington and held in private collections along the south coast.
The studio sits on Lavender Road in Hordle, a few minutes from the Lymington coast. Visits are welcome by appointment — for original works, commissions, or simply to see what's currently on the easel.
Works are also available to view in person at Chalks Gallery on St. Thomas Street in the heart of Lymington, where Katie is currently exhibiting in the show 'Figuratively'.
