Plan like you mean it.
Advice you can actually use — not a binder that gathers dust.
Kaitlyn Beans has spent more than a decade helping people in the D.C. metro area make confident, deliberate decisions about money — through career changes, growing families, retirement transitions, and the quiet, ordinary years in between.
The practice operates under Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, which means institutional-grade research, custody, and compliance stand behind every recommendation. But the relationship itself stays personal: every plan is written by Kaitlyn, presented by Kaitlyn, and reviewed by Kaitlyn — not handed off to a junior associate or a call center.
That matters, because the hardest part of financial planning is rarely the math. It's the behavior. The conversation that keeps you invested through a rough market. The second opinion that keeps you from selling the wrong house at the wrong time. The steady hand that turns a windfall into a foundation instead of a regret.
Six disciplines. One coordinated plan.
Every engagement begins with a written plan. From there, you can implement with us, on your own, or not at all — the advice is yours either way. Indicative pricing below; final fees are quoted in writing before any work begins.
The plan that holds up is the plan you can live with.
Four steps. No surprises.
A clear, written process means you always know what's happening, what's next, and what it costs. No mystery. No pressure. No sales theater.
Discovery
A 60-minute conversation about where you are, where you want to go, and what's keeping you up at night. Complimentary, no obligation.

We open accounts, transfer assets, file paperwork, and coordinate with your CPA and attorney. You see every step, in writing, before it happens.
Ongoing Review
Two scheduled reviews per year, plus ad-hoc calls whenever life happens. Markets, taxes, milestones, and surprises — we adjust the plan together.
Let's start with a conversation.
A 30-minute introductory call is always complimentary. Tell us where you are, where you want to go, and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help — and if not, who can.
