Our story
Family-run. Berkshire-proud.
Founded by John Barratt in 2003, JGB Groundwork started with a single mini-digger and a promise: turn up on time, do the job properly, and leave the site cleaner than we found it.
Two decades later we run a fleet of eight excavators, a full-time squad of fourteen groundworkers, and a reputation across Spencers Wood, Reading and the wider Berkshire area that we protect on every single pour.
