A furnace swap in a 1948 Audubon colonial, January. The left side is what the homeowner woke up to: a cracked heat exchanger, rust in the flue, a unit older than the mortgage. Sal, Mikey, and Dom Ferrara grew up on Washington Township Avenue, two blocks from where the shop sits today. Their father was a steamfitter at the old Campbell Soup plant; their grandfather ran a plumbing outfit in South Philly before the bridge. So when the youngest finished trade school in '98 and the oldest got laid off from a commercial HVAC crew, they pooled their savings, bought a used Econoline, and hung a shingle on the porch.
Twenty-six years later, the truck count is up to eleven, the crew is up to twenty-six, and the phone still rings at 3 AM — only now, somebody actually picks up. We've never done advertising. Every job comes from a neighbor, a referral, or somebody who saw our truck at Wawa. That's the whole business model: do the job right, charge what you said you'd charge, and don't leave until the basement is cleaner than you found it.
We're licensed in NJ (MPHV #8829), fully insured, and we pull permits on every install — the boring stuff that keeps you from getting sued when you sell the house. We don't subcontract. The guy who quotes the job is the guy who shows up to do it.
