Staircases & Balustrades
Feature stairs in mild steel, stainless and mixed timber-and-steel. Straight, spiral, dogleg, floating tread — powder coated, galvanised, or raw and oiled. Drawn from your architect's plans or measured up from a damp slab.

JC Fabrications is a small, stubbornly independent workshop on Church Road, run by James Calloway and a crew of three. We've spent the better part of two decades building things that have to outlive us — staircases, beams, balustrades, gates, brackets, frames — anything cut from steel that needs to fit first time and last forever.
We don't do stock sizes, we don't do "near enough", and we don't sub-contract your job to the lowest bidder. Everything is drawn, cut, welded, ground and finished inside our Bagshot shop, by people whose names you'll know by the end of the first site visit.
Whether you're an architect specifying a feature staircase for a Cobham rebuild, a homeowner who needs new RSJs for a Windlesham extension, or a farmer after a livestock pen that won't budge an inch — bring us the problem. We'll bring the steel.
A working list of what comes out of the Church Road workshop most weeks. If you don't see it, ring us — if it's made of steel and you can describe it, we can probably build it.

Extension and knock-through beams, fabricated and CE-marked to spec. Padstones, connections, columns and bolted splice plates — supplied with calc sheets where your BCO needs them. Site fitting arranged.
Driveway gates, side gates, estate railings and security fencing — hand built to your opening, not a catalogue. Galvanised as standard and powder coated in any RAL you like, with automation hooked up if you want it.
Heavy fabricated frames, plant bases, conveyor supports and access platforms for plant rooms and workshops. Drilled, tapped, aligned, levelled — built to take a beating for thirty years.
Fire escapes, garden sculpture, vehicle winch bumpers, fireplace surrounds, canopy frames, sign gantries, tree-house supports. If it exists in your head, we'll work out how to build it in steel.
Mig, Tig and MMA repair work on cracked frames, broken gates, machinery parts and agricultural kit. Bring the part to us, or pay the mileage and we'll come weld it where it sits.
Steel prices move with the market, and so do ours. But you'll always get a written quote before any metal is cut — material, labour, finish, delivery and install all broken out, line by line.
