Annual Physical & Wellness
A sixty-minute comprehensive exam covering vitals, cardiac risk, age-appropriate screenings, and a full medication review — not a five-minute checkbox visit.
A boutique internal medicine practice in Texas City, led by Dr. Nusrat B. Soleja, MD — where thirty-minute visits, on-site labs, and a doctor who remembers your name are still the standard of care.
— The consultation room, Texas Avenue
Dr. Nusrat B. Soleja is a board-certified internist who has cared for adults across Galveston County for more than a decade. After completing her residency in internal medicine, she chose to build a small, independent practice in Texas City — one deliberately designed to resist the fifteen-minute conveyor belt of modern healthcare.
Here, a new-patient visit runs a full hour. Annual physicals include a careful review of medications, family history, and the small details that often get lost in a portal message. Whether you are managing hypertension, sorting out a persistent cough, or simply due for preventive labs, the goal is the same: unhurried, evidence-based care from a physician who picks up the phone herself when it matters.
The practice is small by design — fewer than 1,200 active patients — so that same-day and next-day appointments remain the norm, not the exception.
From the annual physical you keep postponing to the chronic condition that needs steady oversight, every service below is delivered in-house — no referral carousel, no third-party queue.
A sixty-minute comprehensive exam covering vitals, cardiac risk, age-appropriate screenings, and a full medication review — not a five-minute checkbox visit.
Ongoing care for hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, asthma, and high cholesterol — with quarterly check-ins and direct portal access between visits.
CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel, A1C, TSH, and urinalysis drawn in-office. Most results are reviewed with you within forty-eight hours — not by automated portal ping.
Respiratory infections, rashes, urinary symptoms, minor injuries, and medication refills. Call before noon and we will almost always see you the same business day.
Internal medicine is the specialty of adults — ages eighteen and up. Below are the conditions Dr. Soleja manages most often, with honest cash-pay pricing for patients without insurance or those who prefer not to use it. Most major PPO plans, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage are accepted; we will verify your benefits before your visit.
Same-day sick visits are reserved Monday through Friday for established patients who call before 11:00 AM. After hours, the on-call line forwards to Dr. Soleja directly for urgent concerns.
We accept Medicare, most major PPO plans, and self-pay. New-patient visits are $240 and include a full hour with the physician. A good-faith estimate is provided before any scheduled procedure, as required under Texas law.
The chart is not the patient. The labs are not the patient. The patient is the person sitting in front of me — and they deserve the time it takes to be heard.
Designed for two patients at a time — never a waiting room of strangers.
Two exam rooms, one physician, one nurse practitioner, and a front desk that answers the phone. No call center, no automated tree, no being placed on hold for twenty minutes to ask a five-second question.
New patients are welcomed with a sixty-minute consultation — enough time to review your history, your concerns, and your goals without rushing. Tell us a little about yourself below, and our front desk will reach out within one business day to confirm a time.
Prefer to speak with someone directly? The front desk is staffed Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central. We are located in Texas City, serving patients across Galveston County and the greater Texas City area.
