Flexible nights
02

Hotel-grade housekeeping

Fresh linens, plumped pillows, spotless surfaces. Every guest arrives at a home that has been cared for down to the last detail — and we clean to a checklist we'd be happy to hand you.

Linens included
03

A fully working kitchen

Proper pots, sharp knives, a stove that means it. Stock up at the market ten minutes away and cook the way you would at home — no mini-fridge compromises, no plastic forks.

Cook for yourself
04

Self check-in, anytime

Key-safe access means no awkward timings and no waiting around. Late train, early start, midnight arrival — the door opens on your schedule with a code we send the morning you arrive.

05

Wi-Fi & the small things

Fast, reliable internet for calls and streaming. Tea, coffee, and a few thoughtful basics in the cupboard so you don't have to find a shop at nine in the evening.

Connected & cared for

The hands behind
the house.

Imogen Cornish

Founder & Host

Born a short walk from Valley Mead, Imogen grew up knowing which baker opens early and which footpath avoids the traffic. After a decade in hospitality in Bath and Bristol, she came home to do it properly — one house, done well, with the kind of care hotels used to be known for.

Tom Reade

House Manager

Tom keeps the building breathing — boilers, gutters, the rattle in the third stair. If something needs fixing at half past seven on a Sunday, he's the one already on his way. He also sources the linens and refuses to compromise on them.

What stays
with people.

The most restful three nights I've spent away from home. The bed was proper, the kitchen actually worked, and Imogen had left bread and milk without making a thing of it.
Hannah W. · Bristol · Stayed in March
Booked for a contract in Andover and ended up extending by a fortnight. Self check-in meant I could arrive after a fourteen-hour day without anyone waiting up for me.
David R. · Contract Engineer · Stayed in January
You can tell the people who run this place actually sleep in beds. Everything was considered — the shower pressure, the lamp by the chair, the coffee that wasn't awful. We'll be back.
Marta & Piotr · London · Stayed for a long weekend

Come and stay.

Call Imogen directly with dates in mind, or send a message and we'll come back to you within a day. We take a small number of bookings at a time so we can do each one properly.
