The Gallery

A quiet house for contemporary art, beside the New Forest coast.

Coastal Gallery was founded in Lymington in 2012 with a simple conviction — that the best contemporary work deserves a setting that slows you down. In 2020 we moved inland and upstream, into the spectacular barn conversion of Palais des Vaches at Lower Exbury Farm.

Today the gallery champions painters, printmakers and photographers based locally in Hampshire and across London. The collection rotates continually: a salon-style hang of abstract painting, drawing, original prints and small sculpture, paired each season with a curated solo presentation.

Through an ongoing collaboration with Sims Reed Gallery in St James's, London, we also show original prints by internationally renowned artists — including David Hockney and Patrick Caulfield — sitting alongside the emerging names we are proud to have shown first.
