Coastal Eco crew framing a raised coastal home on the Galveston Island shoreline

A Galveston crew that builds for salt, wind & water.

We started Coastal Eco Heating & Air in 2014 after one too many neighbors paid twice for the same storm damage. Eleven years later, we've built and renovated more than 240 homes from the East End to Jamaica Beach — every one of them raised, wrapped, and mechanical-ventilated to outlast the next big blow.

We're a small crew by choice. That means one project manager per job, real carpenters on the tools, and an HVAC team that actually understands how a wall assembly breathes. No subcontractor roulette. No vanishing acts after the check clears.

  • Licensed & insured Texas contractors — TACL #B-104887
  • Building Science Certified (BPI) for envelope & HVAC design
  • FEMA flood-zone construction specialists — VE & AE zones
  • Standing-seam metal roofing — Class 4 impact-rated

Four ways we raise your house up.

From the slab to the ridge vent, every Coastal Eco project is scoped, priced, and scheduled before we swing a hammer. Indicative pricing below — your free estimate locks the real number.

01 / NEW BUILDS

Storm-tough coastal new builds

From piling foundations to standing-seam roofs, we design and build homes engineered for Galveston's flood zones and 150-mph wind loads. Full design-build delivery — permits, survey, elevation certificate, and certificate of occupancy all under one contract.

From $245 / sq ft Piling or stem-wall Wind-rated 8–14 month build
02 / RENOVATIONS

Whole-home renovations & raises

Bring a 1960s Galveston bungalow up to current code without losing its soul. We handle house raises, full gut renovations, kitchen and bath rebuilds, and historic-district restorations on the East End and in the Silk Stocking District.

From $145 / sq ft House raises Historic-friendly 10–24 week scope
03 / HVAC

High-efficiency HVAC & dehumidification

Variable-speed inverter systems sized to Manual J, paired with whole-house dehumidification — because on the Gulf, humidity is the real enemy. We install, service, and warranty every system we put in. Coastal-load engineered, not contractor-store generic.

From $6,800 system Inverter variable-speed Manual J sized 10-yr warranty
04 / FINISHES

Interior finishes & millwork

Cabinetry, trim, floors, and built-ins from our own shop. We work in reclaimed longleaf pine, white oak, and marine-grade hardware that won't pit after one salt-air summer. If you can sketch it on a napkin, we can build it to outlast the house.

From $32 / sq ft Custom cabinetry Reclaimed pine Marine hardware

Four steps, no surprises.

We've done this 240-plus times. Here's exactly what happens from the first call to the final walk-through — and how long each step usually takes on a Galveston build.

STEP 01

Site visit & scope

We walk the property, listen to what you actually want, and document every existing condition — from slab to ridge. Free, on-island, usually within five business days.

STEP 02

Fixed-price estimate

You get a line-item proposal with real numbers, a real timeline, and a real materials list. No "allowances" that balloon later. Two-week turnaround, typically.

STEP 03

Permits & prep

We pull every permit, file the elevation certificate, and lock the schedule. You get a project portal with weekly photos and a direct line to your project manager.

STEP 04

Build & walk-through

We build it, you watch it happen, and we walk the finished job together with a 90-day punch-list window. Every system is commissioned and documented.
