01 Our Clinic

A clinic built around the way kids actually grow.

The UTMB Child Health Clinic in Texas City has cared for Gulf Coast families for more than two decades. We sit steps from the mainland side of Galveston Bay, serving families from Texas City, La Marque, Dickinson, San Leon, and the wider Galveston County area.

Our pediatricians, advanced practice providers, and pediatric nurses work as a single team — sharing charts, notes, and follow-up plans so a sick visit on Tuesday doesn't disappear by Friday. We keep same-day slots open every weekday morning for fevers, rashes, earaches, and the small emergencies that define parenthood.

We accept Medicaid, CHIP, and most major commercial plans. Uninsured families are seen too — our self-pay schedule is published below, never a surprise at the desk.

What makes our care different.

Six commitments that shape every visit, every chart, every follow-up call — built from twenty-two years of Gulf Coast pediatrics.

01 / FOUNDATION

Continuity, not a rotation of faces.

Your child sees the same pediatrician for well-visits, sick visits, and chronic care — so the doctor reading the chart is the one who already knows your kid's history, allergies, and the nickname they answer to.

22yrs
02 / ACCESS

Same-day sick visits, every weekday.

Reserved morning slots for fevers, rashes, and earaches. Call before 9 AM and we will see your child the same day — typically within three hours of your call.

03 / VACCINES

Full CDC immunization schedule.

Vaccines for children from birth through age 18, including the VFC program for eligible families.

04 / ON-CALL

After-hours nurse line.

A live pediatric nurse answers calls after closing — for the 2 AM fevers that always seem to come at 2 AM.

05 / CHARTING

MyChart access for every family.

Test results, growth charts, immunization records, and visit notes — available on your phone the moment they're signed. Refill requests and message your provider directly.

06 / LANGUAGE

Bilingual care, every shift.

Spanish-speaking pediatricians and nurses on staff at all times — because clear communication is clinical care, not a courtesy line on a brochure.

07 / COMMUNITY

School & sports physicals, on schedule.

Bulk physicals each August for Texas City ISD, Dickinson ISD, and La Marque ISD athletes — $35 flat, no insurance paperwork required.

Services & transparent pricing.

Self-pay prices listed below apply to families without insurance. We accept Medicaid, CHIP, and commercial plans — copays are collected at the time of visit.
