Caspian Food Market is the freshest Middle Eastern food market in Scottsdale — a wood-stone oven, a halal deli counter, and shelves of pomegranate molasses, sumac and sesame that have fed North Scottsdale since 2012.
We opened in 2012 with a single wood-stone oven and a modest shelf of olive oil. Today Caspian Food Market is a North Scottsdale fixture — the place locals come for halal lamb shoulder, warm Sangak pulled straight from the hearth, and a quiet conversation about what's cooking on Sunday.
Our counters carry an array of Middle Eastern and international groceries, meats, produce and baked goods. We stock halal beef, lamb and chicken, cold cuts, and a rotating cast of special cuts — lamb brain, lamb neck, bone-in leg of lamb — for the cooks who know exactly what they're after.
From ubiquitous olive oil, hummus and labne to pomegranate molasses, za'atar, goat meat, nuts and pickled vegetables, we strive to provide the best quality at the best price — every day we're open.
Every morning before the doors open, our wood stone oven is already roaring. It's where the smell that greets you on Scottsdale Rd is born — blistered Sangak, blistered Barbary, soft Lavash and dimpled Taftoon pulled by hand, dusted with flour, and stacked while they're still warm enough to tear.
Fresh-baked daily. These are the breads that hold the table together — the ones you tear with your fingers, fold around feta, or scoop through hummus and labne. We bake in small batches all day so what you take home is still soft.
Don't see what you need? We special-order weekly. Call 480-513-8797 and we'll add it to the next shipment.
